Hi there ! It’s RC here

The very first time I got on a flight was when I was 13 to leave my native country of India to immigrate to the US and landed in New York. That was my first and the greatest adventure to this day. My childhood travels in India before immigrating to the US involved traveling from North India ( Delhi) to Kerala via train. In Kerala, I spend my summer months visiting and staying at my moms siblings house and spending time with my cousins. The rest of my childhood and young adult travel adventures in New York involved going to theme parks like Hershey Park, Six Flags Great Adventure New Jersey, Busch Gardens Virginia, Long Wood Gardens Pennsylvania, and a summer missions trip to Guatemala.

It wasn’t until I married my husband and the love of my life in 2009 that wanderlust became a thing. We had a very hectic healthcare work schedule and we longed for an escape whenever we had the chance. We started our marriage with massive amount of student loan debt so splurging on big budget vacation wasn’t an option. We would mostly seek out budget friendly destinations, search free activities in the area, and skip the fine dining experience, only splurge on things that was very important to us. We have come very far from that but we always look back at those moments with great gratitude and still use some of those practices.

Our travel adventures didn’t stop once we had kids. In fact, it ramped up significantly. Our youngest who is 10 has been to more than 10 countries not including other destinations in the US like Hawaii. Our children add a whole new perspective to our travel and we are so grateful to continue this voyage !
